The name Ferrovia - literally translated as 'iron road' - is a reference to the golden age of rail. In the early twentieth century, this style of door handle was often used in trains in European countries such as France, Spain and Italy. The most famous train of all was the Orient Express, for which this handle was designed. The vertical T-Handle was especially popular in trains of this time. In France and in parts of Belgium, this design is known as 'Chemin de Fer'. The vertical T-Handle was used extensively in trains in these countries, mostly in the smallest size. This series has been modernised and is produced from solid stainless steel, available in matte and polished finishes. The collection includes a range of window and furniture fittings that allow a coordinated look throughout the design project.
